When a wedding costs more than the average UK 4 bed, you know it’s going to be a quality bash. Pippa Middleton is set to marry her prince and she is not compromising on anything!
The average UK wedding apparently costs £30,000. That’ll include a fancy frock, a beautiful venue and a night of fun, filled bevving. Unbelievably, Pippa Middleton is rumoured to have spent over £300,000 on her special day. She is set to marry her beau, James Matthews, this weekend.
On Saturday (20th May), 350 guests will descend on the quiet Berkshire Village, Englefield, to watch Pippa and James tie the knot at St Mark’s Church. This will include Pippa’s sister Kate and her husband Prince William. The royal couple’s children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, will be part of the wedding service as a page boy and flower girl. Also, rumour has it that Prince Harry is bringing his girlfriend Meghan Markle.
Once the nuptials are over, the guests will make the short trip over to Pippa’s parents’ home in the nearby village of Bucklebury. From there the champagne will begin to flow and guests will enjoy their first taste of the fabulous food on offer with gourmet canapes.
The guest will then get to enjoy the spectacular wedding venue. The main reception area is a large glass orangery, which cost around £100,000. It is designed to let guests enjoy the fabulous grounds. The huge steel and glass structure has been shipped over from Belgium by PBI Event Architecture and will be overseen by Peppers Marquees, which is the only marquee company to hold a royal warrant for supplying such structures to the Prince of Wales.
Wedding decorations and accessories cost a lot. Elaborate table-centres can cost £300 each so with 35 tables it all adds up. Plus, they will need flowers for the church, the bouquet and more. It seems likely that Pippa will have Dorset-based Millie Pilkington, who was the private wedding photographer for William and Kates wedding.
Temporary luxurious loos have been erected to make sure guests are comfortable all day. The fancy loos feature state of the art lighting, glass basins, full length mirrors and posh hand soaps. The toilet blocks have been provided by Andyloos also boast oak panelling.
