Given the opportunity, most of us aren’t ashamed to admit that we’d advertise just about anything on our Instagram profiles in return for a big fat cheque. Unfortunately, most of us aren’t famous and average about 300 followers – provided we regularly post about clean eating, dogs and edgy tech house music.
The Kardashians, on the other hand, are in extremely high demand. Kim Kardashian alone has a whopping 97.3 million followers, with younger sister Kylie Jenner catching up with an impressive 90.7 million.
With that kind of following, it’s no wonder these celebs are advertising gold. So how much are they being paid per ad post?
Michael Heller, CEO of digital marketing company Talent Resources, recently revealed that brands have forked out anything up to a whopping $500,000 (just over £400,000) for a single post on Kim’s Instagram page. Wowzers.
Close behind Kim, dynamic duo Kylie and Kendall Jenner are earning up to $400,000 (just over £320,000) for sponsored content. And we thought Kylie just really, really loved her HiSmile tooth whitening kit. Sigh.

Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian haven’t been left out either, each reportedly raking in a colossal $250,000 (just over £200,000) per Insta post.
In case you’ve – somehow – never noticed before, products from brands like Fit Tea, Protein World and Sugar Bear Hair have been smuggled into their vast array of trout pout selfies. Look out for #spon or #ad hashtags in the captions, which the girls are required to include under current advertising standards.
As one of the most influential families in the world boasting 387.5 million followers collectively, advertisers would be silly to shy away from the Kardashian clan. Love them or hate them, we can’t say we blame them for cashing in. But we don’t think we’ll be buying any ‘Fit Tea’ anytime soon. We’ll stick to Yorkshire, thanks.
